Antonio PIROLLI (Orkestra Şefi)

Roma’da doğan Antonio Pirolli , Roma “Santa Cecilia Konservatuarı” ‘nın piyano, kompozisyon, koro ve orkestra yönetimi bölümlerinden pekiyi dereceyle mezun oldu.Zoltan Pesko,Vladimir Delman ve Rudolf Barshai ile çalışan Pirolli ,1987 yılında“ 3. Arturo Toscanini Şeflik Yarışması”nda üçüncülük ödülünü kazandı.Türkiye ‘ye geldiğinden itibaren, 1995-2000 yılları arasında Ankara Devlet Opera ve Balesi’nin,2002-2005 yılları arasında İstanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi ‘nin genel müzik direktörlüğü görevini yürüttü.Çok geniş bir opera ve senfoni repertuarına sahip olan Pirolli, dünyanın en önemli opera,senfoni orkestralarına ve festivallerine davet edilmektedir.Bunların arasında:

Teatro Colon (Buenos Aires),Teatro Sao Carlos (Lizbon, Otello ve Macbeth yönetmiştir),Teatro Alla Scala (Milano),Roma Teatro dell’Opera ile 2005’te Verdi’nin Attila operası, Roma Operası’nın 2006 yılında Tokyo’ya düzenlediği turnede Rigoletto (Renato Bruson ile) ve Tosca yönetmiştir, New National Theatre(Tokyo)Teatro Carlo Felice (Genova), Wiesbaden Opera, (La Boheme) A. Gheorghiu ve R. Alagna ,Trieste Verdi Operası’yla Kıbrıs Rum Kesimi turnesiyle Madama Butterfly, Napoli S. Carlo Operası’yla Gala Konser Berlin Deutsche Oper’ de Andrea Chenier ile Tosca ( M. Alvarez ile), 2008’de Floransa Teatro Comunale sezon açılışında Tosca ( D. Dessi / F.Armiliato ile), Bilbao Verdi Festivali’nde Verdi Aroldo operası, Catania V. Bellini operasıyla Il Trovatore ile Ernani yönetmiştir. Orchestra “A.Toscanini”(Parma), “G.Enescu” Senfoni Orkestrası (Bükreş),Orchestra Palau de la Musica (Valencia), Kiev Filarmoni Orkestrası (Ukraina) Tokyo Symphony Orchestra,Tokyo Philarmonic Orchestra ,Aspendos Opera Festivali (Antalya), Puccini Opera Festivali (Torre del Lago-İtalya), Split Opera Festivali (Hırvatistan),Avenches Opera Festivali (İsviçre),Santander Opera Festivali (İspanya),Caracalla Açıkhava Tiyatrosu (Roma, temmuz 2007’de Nabucco yönetmiştir) yer almaktadır. Geçen yaz Arena di Verona’da Sevil Berberi operasını yöneten sanatçı, gelecek sezon davet üzerine Madama Butterfly yönetecektir.

Antonio Pirolli, operaya olan tutkusunun yanı sıra, geç romantik senfoniler ve modern müzik repertuarında da başarısını kanıtlamıştır. Yurtdışında şeflik kariyerine devam eden sanatçı halen İstanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi’nde genel müzik direktörlüğü görevini sürdürmektedir.

Antonio PIROLLI (Conductor)

Antonio Pirolli was born in Rome and graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in piano, composition, choral music and conducting with an excellent grade. Further conducting studies followed with Zoltan Pesko, Vladimir Delman and Rudolf Barshai, and he went on to win third prize at the third Arturo Toscanini Conducting Competition in 1987.Since he has been to Turkey, from 1995 to 2000, he was General Musical Director at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet and from 2002 to 2005 he was General Music Director at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. He has an extensive repertoire of both opera and symphony and he is invited to the world’s greatest theatres, orchestras and festivals. Some of them are:

Teatro Colon (Buenos Aires), Teatro Saõ Carlos (Lisbon; where he conducted Otello and Macbeth) Teatro alla Scala (Milan),in 2005 Verdi’s Attila at Teatro dell’Opera,Rome  ( where he conducted Rigoletto with Renato Bruson and also Tosca during the tour in Japan organized by Teatro dell Opera,Rome),  New National Theatre (Tokyo,Japan), Teatro Carlo Felice (Genova), the Opera House of Wiesbaden (Germany), La Bohème with A.Gheorghiu and R.Alagna, Madama Butterfly with The Theatre of Trieste Verdi for a tour in Cyprus, Gala Concert with The Theatre of S.Carlo Naples, Andrea Chenier and Tosca at Berlin Deutsche Oper (with M.Alvarez), Tosca (at Teatro Comunale Florence,2008, for the season opening with D.Dessi/F.Armiliato), The Theatre of Verdi Aroldo at Bilbao Verdi Festival, Catania V. Bellini (where he conducted Il Trovatore and Ernani). Last summer he conducted Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Arena di Verona and he has been invited to conduct Madama Butterfly for the next season.

While opera is his first love, he’s already proved himself to be successful on the late romantic symphonic repertoire and contemporary music.  He has still been maintaining his conducting career and also he became the General Music Director of Istanbul State Opera and Ballet in 2009.
