CENK BIYIK (Tenor)

                   1978 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu.1985 de  Moda İlkokuluna başladı bu dönemde Üsküdar Adile Naşit deneme sahnesi çocuk tiyatrosunda, Mete Akkaya yönetiminde  tiyatro ve müzik eğitimi almaya başladı, 1990 yılında Fenerbahçe Lisesi’ne  girdi.Lise yıllarında , Tevfik Gelenbe Tiyatrosu gençlik kadrosunda çeşitli tiyatro oyunlarında rol aldı. Liseyi  bitirdikten sonra Müjdat Gezen Sanat Merkezi Opera- Şan Bölümüne girdi.Burada bir yıl Opera- Şan Eğitimini Ruhsar Öcal ile devam ettirdi.  1996 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuarı Opera Şan Bölümüne girdi. Bu okuldaki çalışmalarına Çiçek Kurra Kanter ile başladı, daha sonra Suat Arıkan ile devam ettirdi ve 2002 yılında mezun oldu.                 1996 yılında İstanbul Oda Koro’suna dahil oldu. Burada bir yıl Şef Yeşua Aroyo ile Madrigaller ve Rönesans öncesi müziği üzerine çalıştı. Aynı yıl Cemal Reşit Rey Opera Korosu’na girdi. G.Donizetti’nin “L’eliser D’amore” , Ahmet Adnan Saygun’un “Özsoy” operalarında görev aldı. Atatürk Kültür Merkezi ve Avusturya Kültür Merkezi’nde resitaller verdi.           

               1999 yılında Atatürk Kültür Merkezi, İtalyan Kültür Merkezi, Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi Kadıköy İlçesi Atatürk  Haftası Gençlik Şöleninde, Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversite’sinde konserler verdi.                    

              2000 yılında  Şef Faris Akarsu'nun müzikal çalışmalarına  katıldı. Ve Bursa Devlet Bölge Senfoni Orkestrası ile Broadway müzikalleri konserinde solist olarak görev aldı. Aynı yılda İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuarı Senfoni Orkestrası eşliğinde, İstanbul Kültür Üniversitesi, Cemal Reşit Rey Konser Salonu, Işık Üniversitesi, İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Konser Salonunda solist olarak görev aldı. Ayrıca Onur Koğacıoğlu'nun kurduğu Ronesans Grubunda solist olarak birçok proğramlarda  yer aldı. Aynı yılda İstanbul Üniversitesi Rektörlüğü’nde T.C. 9.Cumhurbaşkanı Sayın Süleyman Demirel ve Gürcistan Devlet Başkanı Sayın Edward Schvardnadze için düzenlenen törende konser verdi.                 2001 yılında İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kent Orkestrası eşliğinde üç konserde solist olarak görev aldı. Aynı yılda Profesör Ramiz Melik Aslanov yönetiminde, İstanbul Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuarı Senfoni Orkestrası ile Gluck’un “Betrogene Kadı” Operasında “Nuradin” rolünü oynadı ve yine İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsa’sının açılışında bir konser verdi.                

              2002 yılında Maltepe Üniversitesi’nde iki konserde solist olarak görev aldı. T.C. Kültür Bakanlığı’nın “Uygarlıklar Beşiği Türkiye 2002 Kültür ve Sanat Şöleni” kapsamında, Şef Rengim Gökmen yönetiminde, İzmir Devlet Senfoni Orkestrası ile 29 Mayıs 2002’de Samsun’da, 31 Mayıs 2002’de Ordu Mesudiye Türk Köyünde, 1 Haziran 2002’de Erzincan’da ve 3 Haziran 2002’de Trabzon’da gerçekleştirilen konserlerde solist olarak görev aldı.               2002 Nisan ayında İstanbul’da 4.si düzenlenen “Siemens Sanat Ödülü” Opera yarışmasında  Türkiye Birincisi  oldu ve Almanya, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe Opera Stüdyosunda bir yıl Eğitim Bursu ödülünü kazandı. Aynı zamanda burada Karlsruhe Musichochschule(Opernschule)de eğitimini devam ettirdi. Prf.Elizabeth Werres ile Şan tekniği ve Stil bilgisi çalışmalarını sürdürdü.Karlsruhe Devlet Operasındaki başarılı çalışmaları sonucunda, Opera Genel Müdürlüğünün teklifi üzerine bu Opera ile solist Kontratı imzaladı.                                                                                   

              2003 yılı içersinde Karlsruhe Devlet  Operasında  Giacomo Puccını’ nin “İl Tabarro” Operasında, Bedrich Smetana’nın “Dalibor”  Operasında “Vitec”rolü,G.Donizetti’nin “Lucia Operasında” “Arturo” rolünü başarıyla oynadı.Ayrıca piyanist  Şef Carl Robert Helg ve Soprano Chiristine Zoller ile birlikte Emirates Hava Yolları ve Karlsruhe Wolkswagen firmasının sponsorluğunda Almanya ve Avrupa’nın diğer kentlerinde resmi ve özel davetlerde birçok konserler verdi.Ve yine Karlsruhe Wolkswagen firmasının sponsorluğunda  Newyork Metropolitan  Operası solistlerinden Tenor Eduardo Villa ,piyanist şef Carl Robert Helg, Soprano Chiristine Zoller ile birlikte geliri çocuklar yararına olmak üzere çıkarılan (Hensel Greetel) bir CD de yer aldı.             

             2004 yılı Nisan ayında Karlsruhe Devlet Operasında Rejisör Doç. Yekta Kara’nın sahneye koyduğu W.Mozart’ın “Die Entfuhrung Ausdem Serail”( Saraydan Kız Kaçırma) Operasında “Pedrillo” rolünü oynadı.            Almanya'nın ve diğer Avrupa  ülkelerinin  birçok şehirlerinde konserler ve resitaller verdi. Bu nedenle  de  2004 yılında ,Avrupa Kültür Vakfınca, Avrupada Sanatla ilgili olarak ,Türkiye'yi Avrupa Ülkelerinde  tanıtan,Türkiye'nin Avrupa Birliğine giriş çabalarına  destek sağlayan , başarılı genç sanatçılara verilen "Avrupa Kültür Ödülü" ne layık görüldü. Ve  ödülünü , 30 Ekim 2004 tarihinde ,İstanbul Dolmabahçe Sarayında  düzenlenen ödül töreninde ,Avrupa Kültür Vakfı Başkanı Sayın  Dr. Ernest Seidel'den  aldı.                  

               2005 yılı Ocak ayı itibarıyla Almanya Karlsruhe Devlet Operasında, G.Donizetti’nin ”Aşk İksiri” Operasında ”Nemorino” rolünü, Mayıs ayında G.Puccini’nin “Gianni Schicchi” Operasında ”Rinnucco”, Haziran ayında P.İ. Tschaikovski’nin “Yevgene Onegin” Operasında “Lenski” rollerini oynadı.Aynı yıl içersindeAlmanya Halle Devlet operasında  Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Saraydan Kız kaçırma) oyununda misafir sanatçı olarak Pedrillo rolünü oynadı.               

             2005 yılında Berlin Olimpiyat Stadyumunda oynanan, Bayern Münıh-Schalke 04  Almanya Kupası Final Maçında,Berlin Flarmoni Orkestrası eşliğinde Alman Milli Marşını seslendirdi.           

             2005 Aralık ayı ve  2006 Ocak ayı itibarıyla ,  W.Mozart’ın “Die Entfuhrung Ausdem Serail”( Saraydan Kız Kaçırma) Operasında ”Pedrillo”  ve yine aynı zamanda  W.Mozart’ın  “Idomeneo”  Operasında   “Arbaces “ rollerini  oynadı.          

              2006 Yılı Mayıs ayında, İtalya Udine Teatro Nuovo Giovanni'de ve Trieste  Teatro Verdi de   Die  Entführung aus dem Serail(Saraydan Kız Kaçırma) Operasında Misafir Sanatçı olarak Pedrillo rolünü oynadı.           

             2006 yılı Haziran ayında, 34.İstanbul Müzik festivalinde  Topkapı SarayındaDıe Entführung aus dem Serail  oyununda Pedrillo rolunu oynadı.           2007 0cak  ayında, Dusseldorf ‘ta UEFA gecesinde bir  konser verdi.             

            2007 yılı Haziran ve Temmuz aylarında Badısches Staatstheater Karlsruhe'de G. Verdi'nin Otello'sunda "Cassio" rolünü oynadı.         

           1 Eylül 2007  de Stuttgart'ta yapılan Dünya Artistik Cimnastik Şampiyonasının açılışında,Alman Şölen Tasarımcısı,Rejisör  Enno İlka Uhde 'nin hazırladığı Şölen Programı içersinde Dünya Klasik Müziğini temsilen canlı performans sergiledi.         Bıyık, ,İsviçre ,Avusturya ,İtalya , Fransa ve  Almanya’nın  birçok şehirlerinde konserler verdi.         7.Eylül 2007 tarihinde  Avusturya Klagenfurt stadı açılışında , konser verdi.         30.Eylül 2007 tarihinde  Stuttgart’ta Porsche Tenis Grand Prix , açılışında konser verdi         7.Ekim 2007  tarihinde  Stuttgart’ta Porsche Tenis Grand Prix  ,kapanışında bir konser verdi.         13.Ekim 2007 tarihinde  Mannheim Rosengarten’de  Ball der Sterne,   bir konser verdi.        Kasım 2007 de Frankfurt  Alteroper’de  sport Presball(basın balosunda) bir konser verdi.        27 Aralık 2007 tarihinde,Zehra Yıldız Kültür ve Sanat Vakfının geleneksel olarak düzenlediği, Soprano Zehra Yıldız'ı 10. yılında  anma gecesinde, Istanbul Atatürk Kültür Merkezinde  konuk  olarak  canlı  performans  sergiledi.         T.C. Kültür Bakanlığı Devlet Opera ve Balesi Genel Müdürlüğü'nce  organize edilen 15. ASPENDOS ULUSLARARASI OPERA VE BALE FESTİVALİ'nin 7 haziran 2008 tarihindeki  GALA KONSER  programında Ankara Devlet Opera ve Balesi Orkestrası ve Korosu eşliğinde canlı performans sergiledi.        5,6, Temmuz 2008  tarihlerinde konuk sanatçı olarak  Stadt Gerlingen'de (Stuttgart) , rejisini Peter Pacher'in  yaptığı Georges Bizet'in carmen operasında   Don  Jose rolünü oynadı.        10.Eylül 2008 tarihinde  Berlin'de ,O2 WorldArena spor  salonunun  açılışında bir konser verdi.         Bıyık, 05 Mart, 03 Nisan 15, 27, 31 Mayıs 2009 tarihlerinde Konuk Sanatçı olarak ,Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe'de G.Verdi'nin Otello Operasında  Cassio  rolünü oynadı..             2009-2010 Eğitim Öğretim yılında ,İstanbul Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Devlet konservatuarı ,Sahne Sanatları,Opera Anasanat Dalında, Yüksek Lisans sınavını kazandı. Buradaki   Şan   çalışmalarını Prof. Güzin Gürel ile devam ettirmektedir.        İstanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi tarafından sahneye konan,16,17,19 Eylül 2009 tarihlerinde İstanbul Yıldız Sarayında sahnelenen ve Rejisini Yekta Kara’nın yaptığı , W.A.Mozart’ın Saraydan Kız Kaçırma Operasında” Pedrillo” rolünü oynadı.

                Bıyık, halen  Avrupa'nın önemli sanat  merkezlerinde konserler vermekte ve misafir sanatçı  olarak da Türkiye ve  Avrupa Operalarında görev almaktadır.
 

   CENK BIYIK (Tenor) 

             He was born in 1978 in Istanbul. He started Moda Primary School in 1985; in the course of this period, within the structure of Adile Naşit experimental stage children’s theatre, he started to receive drama and music education under direction of Mete Akkaya. He was enrolled to Fenerbahçe High School in the year 1990. In the course of high school years, he took place in various theatrical performances as a part of the young staff of Tevfik Gelenbe Theatre. After finishing high school, he was enrolled to Opera-Singing Department of Müjdat Gezen Arts Center. He went on with his Opera-Singing Education for a period of one year at this center under direction of Ruhsar Öcal. In the year 1996, he was enrolled to Opera Singing Department of State Conservatory of Istanbul University. His studies in this school commenced with Çiçek Kurra Kanter, went on with Suat Arıkan and he graduated in the year 2002.
 
               He was included in Istanbul Chamber Chorus in the year 1996. He conducted studies on Madrigals, and Pre-Renaissance music under direction of conductor Yeşua Aroyo for a period of one year at this school. In the same year, he was enrolled to Cemal Reşit Rey Opera Chorus. He took place in the opera, titled “L’eliser D’amore” of G.Donizetti, and the one, titled “Özsoy”, of Ahmet Adnan Saygun. He gave recitals in Atatürk Culture Center, and Austria Culture Center.
               In the year 1999, he gave concerts in Atatürk Culture Center, Italian Culture Center, Bostancı Exhibition Center, Youth Festival in the course of Atatürk Week, held in the district of Kadıköy and Abant İzzel Baysal University.
               
                  He participated in musical studies of Conductor Faris Akarsu in the year 2000. He took place within the scope of Bursa State Regional Symphony Orchestra and Broadway musicals concert as a soloist. In the same year, in accompaniment of Istanbul University State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, he took place as a soloist in Istanbul Culture University, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, Işık University Science Faculty Concert Hall. Furthermore he took place in many programmes, established by Renaissance Group, established by Onur Koğacıoğlu. In the same year, in Rectorship of Istanbul University, he gave a concert in the ceremony, held for Mr. Süleyman Demirel, the 9th President of T.R. and Mr. Edward Schvardnadze, President of Georgia.
 
               In the year 2001, he took place as a soloist in three concerts in accompaniment of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Orchestra. In the same year, under direction of Professor Ramiz Melik Aslanov, he took place in Istanbul University State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, he played the part “Nuradin” in “Betrogene Kadı” Opera of Gluck; besides he gave a concert in the opening of Istanbul Stock Exchange.
 
In the year 2002, he took place in two concerts of Maltepe University as a soloist. Within the scope of “Cradle of Civilizations Turkey 2002 Culture and Arts Festival”, held by the Ministry of Culture of T.R., he took place as a soloist in İzmir State Symphony Orchestra under direction of Conductor Rengim Gökmen, in concerts, held in Samsun on the date of May 29, 2002, in Ordu Mesudiye Türk Village on the date of May 31, 2002, in Erzincan on the date of June 1, 2002, and in Trabzon, held in Trabzon on the date of June 3, 2002.
 
              He ranked the first in “Siemens Arts Awards”, which was held for the 4th time in April of the year 2002, and he was presented the award of Education Scholarship for a period of one year in Germany, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe Opera Studio. At the same time, he want on with his education in    Karlsruhe Musichochschule(Opernschule). He conducted studies on singing techniques and Style with  Prf.Elizabeth Werres. As a consequence of his successful studies in Karlsruhe State Opera, upon proposal of the General Directorate of Opera, he executed a soloist agreement with this opera.                                                                
           Within the year 2003, he took place in Karlsruhe State Opera, “İl Tabarro” Opera of Gıacomo Puccını, “Dalibor”  Opera of Bedrich Smetana as “Vitec”, and in “Lucia Opera” of G.Donizetti as “Arturo”. Furthermore he gave many concerts in official and special occasions in other cities of Germany and Europe under sponsorship of Emirates Airlines, and Karlsruhe Wolkswagen company with pianist Conductor Carl Robert Helg and Soprano Chiristine Zoller.Under sponsorship of Karlsruhe Wolkswagen company, he took place in production of a CD, issued for the benefit of children, (Hensel Greetel) with Tenor Eduardo Villa, one of the soloists of Newyork Metropolitan  Opera, Carl Robert Helg, pianist conductor, and Soprano Chiristine Zoller. 
 
             He played the part “Pedrillo” in “Die Entfuhrung Ausdem Serail”(Saraydan Kız Kaçırma) Opera of W. Mozart, presented by the Director Lecturer Yekta Kara in April of the year 2004.
 
                         In various cities of Germany and other European countries, he gave concerts and recitals. On this account, with regard to Arts in Europe, he was awarded “European Culture Award” in the year 2004, presenting Turkey to European Countries, supporting efforts of Turkey in terms of accession to European Union, submitted to successful young artists. And he obtained his award on the date of October 30 in the awards ceremony, held on the date of October 30, 2004 in Istanbul Dolmabahçe Palace from Mr. Dr. Ernest Seidel, Chairman of European Culture Foundation.
 
              As of the month of January of the year 2005, he played the part ”Nemorino” in ”Aşk İksiri” of G.Donizetti in Germany Karlsruhe State Opera; in the month of May, he played the part ”Rinnucco” in “Gianni Schicchi” Opera of G.Puccini; whereas the part “Lenski” in “Yevgene Onegin” Opera of P.İ. Tschaikovski in the month of June. Within the same year, he played the part Pedrillo as a guest artist in the play, titled Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Saraydan Kız kaçırma), in Germany Halla State opera.
 
              In Bayern Münıh-Schalke 04 Germany Cup Final Game, played in Berlin Olympic Stadium in the year in the year 2005, he sang the National Anthem of Germany in accompaniment of Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
 
          As of the month of December and the month of January of the year 2005, in “Die Entfuhrung Ausdem Serail”( Saraydan Kız Kaçırma) Opera of W. Mozart, he played the part “Pedrillo” as well as the part “Arbaces “ in “Idomeneo”  Opera of W. Mozart.
          In the month of May of the year 2006, in Italy Udine Teatro Nuovo Giovanni and Trieste  Teatro Verdi  Die  Entführung aus dem Serail(Saraydan Kız Kaçırma) Opera, he played the part Pedrillo as a Guest Artist.
 
          In the month of June of the year 2006, within the scope of the 34th Istanbul Music Festival, he played the part Pedrillo in the play, titled Dıe Entführung aus dem Serail , held in Topkapı Palace.
 
         In the month of January of the year 2007, he gave a concert in Dusseldorf at an UEFA night.  
 
        In the months of June and July of the year 2007, the played the part “Cassio” in Otello of G. Verdi in Badısches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.
        
      At the opening of International Artistic Gymnastics Championship, held in Stuttgart on the date of September 1, 2007, he presented a live performance in representation of International Classical Music within the scope of the Exhibition Programme, prepared by Enno İlka Uhde, the German Exhibition Designer, Director.      
    
        Bıyık gave concerts in various cities of Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, and Germany.
        On the date of September 7, 2007, at the opening of Austria Klagenfurt Stadium he gave a concert.
         On the date of September 30, 2007, at the opening of Porsche Tenis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, he gave a concert.
        On the date of October 7, 2007, at the opening of Porsche Tenis Grand Prix  in Stuttgart, he gave a concert.
        On the date of October 13, 2007, he gave a concert in Ball der Sterne in Mannheim Rosengarten.
        In November 2007, within the scope of Sport Presball, held in Alteroper, he gave a concert.
        On the date of December 27, 2007, within the scope of the 10th Soprano Zehra Yıldız Memorial, held by Zehra Yıldız Culture and Arts Foundation traditionally, he presented a live performance as a guest in Istanbul Atatürk Culture Center.
 
        Within the scope of GALA CONCERT programme, held on the date of June 7, 2008, of the 15th ASPENDOS INTERNATIONAL OPERA AND BALLET FESTIVAL, organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet of the Ministry of Culture of Turkish Republic, he presented a live performance in accompaniment of Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra and Chorus.
 
        On the dates of July 5, 6, 2008, as a guest artist, he played the part Don  Jose within the scope of Carmen opera of Georges Bizet, which was directed by Peter Pacher in Stadt Gerlingen (Stuttgart).
 
        On the date of September 10, 2008, he gave a concert at the opening of O2 World Arena sports hall in Berlin.
         Bıyık played the part Cassio in Otella Opera of G. Verdi in Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe as a Guest Artist on the dates of March 5, April 3, and May 15, 27, and 31 of the year 2009.
 
         In 2009-2010 Academic Year, he was entitled to study for Master Degree within the scope of Performing Arts, Opera Art Department of the Social Sciences Institute State Conservatory of Istanbul University. He conducts his singing studies here under instructions of Prof. Güzin Gürel.
 
        He played the part “Pedrillo” in Saraydan Kız Kaçırma of W. A. Mozart, presented by Istanbul State Opera and Ballet on the dates of September 16, 17, 19 at Istanbul Yıldız Palace, and directed by Yekta Kara.
 
      Bıyık currently gives concerts in prominent arts centers of Europe and takes place in Turkey and Europe Operas as a guest artist.
